TRANSFORMING ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING THROUGH COGNITIVE, DIGITAL, AND ASSESSMENT-BASED INNOVATIONS: CONTEMPORARY PERSPECTIVES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed the landscape of English Language Teaching (ELT), creating new opportunities and challenges for educators and learners alike. Traditional language teaching approaches are gradually being complemented by innovative pedagogical models that emphasize cognitive development, digital competence, authentic assessment, and learner-centered instruction. This study explores how cognitive principles, digital innovations, and assessment-oriented strategies can be integrated into a comprehensive framework for improving English language instruction in higher education.
