We are providing actionable signals for investors and companies, by first measuring real impacts that matter the most and then connecting those impacts to accounting statements through monetization. Our monetized ESG impact dataset, called Real Impact in Financial Terms (RIFT), incorporates the measurement of product impacts to provide a more complete ESG Impact assessment. Our research and data are fully aligned with the Impact Weighted Accounts Initiative (IWAI) at Harvard Business School, led by RGS co-founder Professor George Serafeim. RGS RIFT is differentiated from our competitors in 5 key ways: 1) RGS RIFT moves beyond traditional ESG metrics by quantifying the impacts of the products and services that companies produce. 2) The RGS RIFT platform allows analysis for both public and private companies using a consistent impact framework. 3) RGS RIFT translates ESG data into monetary values for easy comparison across industries and impact dimensions and integration into financial modelling frameworks. 4) RGS RIFT only measures concrete outcome metrics rather than inputs or intentions to avoid greenwashing. 5) RGS RIFT is based on a robust, researched methodology, aligned with Harvard Business School’s Impact Weighted Accounts Initiative (IWAI). Our monetized impact assessments are calculated using our proprietary product impact classification system and impact monetization models using multiple sources of underlying raw data we collect from publicly available sources, company reports and third parties.
