Using a strain of bacteria with highly efficient cellulose-degrading ability isolated from the intestines of pandas as the research object, this study systematically investigated the de novo biosynthesis of coumaric acid by this strain using wheat bran as the sole carbon source through whole-genome sequencing, genetic engineering, and fermentation process optimization.
