BEI Peptoclostridium difficile genome sequencing and assembly. Clostridioides difficile

53 U.S. Clostridium difficile isolates collected as part of the Emerging Infections program C. difficile Infection surveillance during 2010-2011. Isolates were selected to represent the diversity of strain types as determined by pulsed-field gel electrophoresis and PCR ribotype, and geographic location of isolates. Accompanying molecular data for each isolate includes PFGE Type, PCR ribotype, PCR detection of tcdA, tcdB, cdtA, and cdtB, and size of the deletions in tcdC. Accompanying metadata for each isolate includes patient age, U.S. state of residence, year of isolation, and epidemiologic classification as healthcare-associated or community associated.
