CEOP ARM TWP Reference Site

This data set contains the Coordinated Enhanced Observing Period (CEOP) Version 2 Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment (GEWEX) Tropical Western Pacific (TWP) 30 Minute Surface Meteorology and Radiation Data Set. This data set contains 30 minute data from three stations in the TWP reference site for the CEOP Version 2 time period, including the Darwin, Nauru and Manus stations. The Tropical Western Pacific (TWP) locale was established in 1996 as the second ARM Climate Research Facility site. Operated by the Tropical Western Pacific Office (TWPO) at Los Alamos National Laboratory, the TWP site consists of three climate research facilities: the Manus facility on Los Negros Island in Manus, Papua New Guinea (established in 1996); the Nauru facility on Nauru Island, Republic of Nauru (1998); and the Darwin facility in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia (2002). The facility is situated adjacent to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology's (BOM) Meteorological Office near Darwin International Airport. Station Operator: US Department of Energy
