Malaysian Agriculture and Plantation Greenhouse Gas Equilibrium Model (Third Edition)

The Malaysian Agriculture and Plantation Greenhouse Gas Equilibrium Model (MAPGEM) predicts the economic impact of renewable energy on the Malaysian agriculture and plantation sectors. MAPGEM forecasts land use, resources, prices, production, domestic consumption, imports, exports, and greenhouse gases between 2019 and 2064. It includes banana, cocoa, coconut, durian, forest, kenaf, mango, oil palm, papaya, pepper, pineapple, rambutan, rice, rubber, and agricultural wastes. MAPGEM allows the study of biodiesel, bioelectricity, butanol, and ethanol and their penetration into the fossil-fuel markets. A user can also study government policies such as a carbon tax, subsidies, and minimum biofuel mandates.

This MAPGEM version contains biodiesel and ethanol production from algae and biodiesel from hemp, jatropha, and kenaf along with their co-products.
