Fibroblasts form a major component of the stroma in normal mammary gland and breast tumors. This project aimed to proteomically characterize fibroblast populations in the mouse mammary gland across different developmental stages and during oncogenesis. CD34high and CD34low mark a populations of mesenchymal progenitor cells and specialized fibroblasts, respectively.
