Technical and Economic Assessment of Catfish Farming in Nigeria (pre- and post-COVID data)

The data was collected to assess the technical and economic performance of African catfish farmers in Nigeria by identifying the gaps and challenges while proffering recommendations for Nigeria's aquaculture development. It covers 10 states selected from the different geo-political zones. Due to the pandemic period, when the data was collected, it was important to collect data for the period before it so it reflects the operations that had no effect of COVID. The dataset contains production, social and economic data of African catfish farmers in Nigeria covering both the pre-COVID and COVID period operations. The data was collected on a production cycle basis. The data was collected from May 2021 to February 2022.
