National Weather Service Fire Warnings by Weather Forecast Office

This dataset contains a comma-delimited text file that lists the total number of Fire Warnings issued by National Weather Service Forecast Offices at the request of land and/or emergency management partners since 13 January 2006 (original upload through 3 August 2025) as accessed from the Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM) https://mesonet.agron.iastate.edu/ (IEM, 2025). An earlier version of this dataset (data spanning 13 January 2006–1 February 2025) was used to produce Figure 2 in NOAA Fire Weather Testbed (2025). This figure is included in the upload for reference. If used, please cite both the IEM (2025) and the NOAA Fire Weather Testbed (2025).
