18S rRNA gene V4 region metabarcoding, A study of microalgal communities in the Arctic Ocean

In this study, we elucidate the composition of the microalgal community in the Arctic Ocean during autumn through metabarcoding analysis of the 18S rRNA gene V4 region. DNA samples were obtained from the Chukchi Sea using a polycarbonate membrane (pore size 2.0 µm, diameter 25 mm, Merck). The primer utilized is encompassing protist communities in addition to microalgal communities.This data was obtained as part of the Arctic Challenge for Sustainability II (ArCSII) project during the MR20-05C research expedition by Research Vessel Mirai (Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology: JAMSTEC).
