Standard synthetic complete medium is composed of the following:This medium contains excess concentrations of leucine, histidine, and uracil to compensate for auxotrophies present in the laboratory strains used in this study. For experiments using BY4741, the concentration of methionine was increased to 0.1 g/L; for experiments using BY4742, the concentration of lysine was increased to 0.15 g/L.
