资源简介:
Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) is known to result in beneficial effects on health. Thus, our aim was to identify the global changes in the transcriptome that would result in the beneficial effects of EPA on subcutaneous adipose tissue. For this purpose, we performed RNA sequencing on subcutaneous adipose tissue samples from C56BL/6J mice after 11 weeks of dietary intervention. The control group were fed with high fat (45% kcal from fat) which induced obesity and the test group fed with high fat diet (also 45%kcal) but enriched with EPA (36g/kg diet). EPA reduced high fat diet induced obesity and other metabolic dysfunctions.
