Emergency Preparedness and Technology: a closer look at older adults and people with disabilities.

This nationwide survey asks respondents to consider their emergency preparedness to different types of hazards and their willingness to use various emerging technology for personal preparedness measures. The survey included responses from individuals between 18 years of age to 86 from across the US. The annotated questionnaire includes the questions asked of survey respondents and the breakdown by individuals under 65, over 65 and by disability. The survey was conducted in December 2023, disseminated in English through Qualtrics. The survey took about 12 minutes to complete. The survey was approved by the University at Albany, SUNY, Institute Review Board, Study Number 23X081.

Younger adults (<65) n= 897;

Individuals requiring a caregiver for daily activities n= 254.
