VPRS 12386 Construction Diary

This Royal Commission was established in 1923 to investigate claims of faulty construction that took place on the Warrnambool Harbour breakwater in 1913/14. Allegations of corruption were also investigated with regards to the contract for the breakwaters constructionThis series consists of a Construction Diary that was maintained in 1914/15 to document the ongoing construction events that took place with the building of the breakwater in Warrnambool Harbour. It contains details of construction specifications, and details of construction events that took place each day.This diary was later used as evidence in the Royal Commission. Annotations in blue pencil occur throughout the diary where the Royal Commission sought clarification on a particular entry.
