NRS-1328 | Minute book of the Hospitals' Advisory Board

The establishment of the Hospitals' Advisory Board was approved by the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council in June 1918. The Board of five members was appointed to advise the Minister of Public Health on the co-ordination of hospitals to prevent overlapping of hospital work; hospitals' finances generally; classification of hospitals; achievement of economy in hospitals' administration; extension of industrial contribution schemes for country hospitals and for subsidised doctors; uniform system of accounts; and hospital sites and plans. The Board at its meeting of 21 June 1929 decided that that meeting should be the final one in view of the passage of the Public Hospitals Act, 1929. (4/7776). 1 vol.
