VPRS 18642 Order and Receipt Books

This series comprises of order and receipt books for burial services at Wunghnu Cemetery (VA 5236). Each volume contains a one-page entry for each payment order for burial. Information recorded varies slightly across each of the volumes but typically includes the following:- date of receipt of payment- name of the person who paid- the amount paid- the name of the person being buried- type of funeral (burial or otherwise)- location of the grave (block, section, compartment, tablet numbers)- breakdown of items and charges for burial services- name of Secretary receiving payment on behalf of the trust- notes at bottom of page sometimes indicated whether payment has been banked.Researchers should be aware that the binding has come undone for the volume covering 1921 - 1925. It is possible that this volume is missing some pages, which may account for the gap in the date range between this and the next volume, which commences in 1927.
