Medaka_Kiyosu_panel

Medaka fish is a long standing genetic model organism from the 1930s. Uniquely amongst vertebrates Medaka fish can be routinely inbred from the wild, leading to a large number of fully inbred wild-derived strains. We are developing an inbred Medaka panel representing the outbred Kiyosi population, as described in http://europepmc.org/abstract/MED/24408034. To assess the inbreeding of this population we are taking individuals in generation 10 and doing whole genome sequencing of these individuals, in particular when two separate lines were created from the same founding breeding pair.
