Comparative metagenomic analysis of pre and post treatment termite gut communities

This study explores the impact of fipronil exposure on the gut microbiome of Anacanthotermes turkestanicus. Using shotgun metagenomic sequencing, this study aim to characterize changes in microbial diversity, abundance, and functional potential following contact with the insecticide. Elucidating these microbial shifts will enhance our understanding of how insecticides disrupt host microbe interactions and may contribute to colony decline.
