Principles of Dual BET/PI3K Inhibition using 18D(S) in Multiple Myeloma and T-cell Lymphoma Models

Cancer treatment faces persistent challenges due to tumour diversity, adaptability, and resistance, making combination therapies essential for improving outcomes. This research explores a new approach to cancer treatment by developing a single drug that targets two key proteins: BET and PI3K, which drive cancer growth and resistance to therapy. We test dual BET/PI3K inhibitor 18D(S) in specific blood and lymph cancers, showing promising preclinical results in lab studies. While less effective in live models, the study uncovered important insights into how these proteins interact in cancers, paving the way for more precise and effective cancer therapies.
