资源简介:
Bacillus velezensis, a gram-positive, rod-shaped bacterium and cotton endophyte, plays a vital role in agriculture, biotechnology, and environmental sustainability. It promotes plant growth through phytohormone production (e.g., indole-3-acetic acid), phosphate solubilization, and hydrolytic enzyme activity (proteases, amylases, and cellulases). As a biocontrol agent, it synthesizes antimicrobial compounds like surfactin, iturin, fengycin, polyketides, and VOCs, which exhibit strong antibacterial and antifungal properties. Biochemically, B. velezensis is catalase-positive, oxidase-negative, and nitrate reduction-positive, utilizing diverse carbon sources and producing siderophores to outcompete pathogens. Adaptable to varied conditions, it forms spores and biofilms for persistence. Its diverse metabolites and robust capabilities make B. velezensis an essential player in sustainable agriculture and biotechnology.
