Each register gives the following information in respect of each letter registered: the annual progressive number of the letter (assigned by the Colonial Secretary in his letters to the Surveyor General); the date on which the letter was written; the name of the person about whom the letter was written, or the general subject of the letter; reference to previous papers (if any); the date of the answer to the letter; the number of the answer in Copies of letters sent to the Colonial Secretary; and the subject matter of the letter received.(2/1406-13; microfilm copy SR Reels 2803-2804). 8 vols.
