Research on the Mechanism of GDF11 in the Repair of Corneal Endothelial Injury

Human corneal endothelial cells exhibit limited regenerative capacity in vivo after injury. To investigate factors that promote corneal endothelial injury repair, we utilized anterior chamber injection of AAV to overexpress GDF11 in mouse corneal endothelium. Following stable expression, a corneal cryoinjury model was employed to induce endothelial damage. One day post-injury, mouse corneal endothelia were harvested for mRNA sequencing to explore the role of GDF11 in corneal endothelial injury repair.
