Metabolic rewiring tunes dermal macrophages in staphylococcal skin infection [RNA-seq dataset 2]

Dermal macrophages (Macs) are essential for the timely resolution of staphylococcal skin infections. However the cell intrinsic pathways and microenvironmental cues that mediate this are unclear. Here we analyzed a strictly intradermal ear infection model with Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) to explore immunometabolic regulation. mRNA transcriptomes of CD64hi dermal macrophages sorted from uninfected mice and mice injected intradermally in both ears with S. aureus for 1, 5 or 7 days.
