Dataset of Historical Elections in Catalonia (DHEC)

The Dataset of Historical Elections in Catalonia Catalonia (DHEC), a unique and newly collected dataset that sheds light on micro-level historical electoral records in Catalonia. The DHEC contains electoral data both at the census-tract and municipality-level for all elections comprised between the enactment of universal male suffrage (1890) until a military coup put an end to regular elections (1923). It also contains Geographic Information System (GIS) data referring to municipality-level and electoral district-level divisions throughout the period.
