Worn or Torn Household Textile Donation Drive Report

In a bid to address the growing problem of textile waste in Ontario landfills, the Worn or Torn Donation Drive was launched as a pilot study in London, Ontario. Community partners, including the City of London, Goodwill Industries Ontario Great Lakes, and Fanshawe College's Centre for Research and Innovation, initiated this collaborative effort. The drive’s objective was to encourage residents of the Byron area to donate household textile waste for collection and analysis. This pilot aimed to provide insight into the types of textiles being generated at the household level and explore sustainable alternatives to landfill disposal.
