Vermont Trails SCORP Public

<p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p>This feature service provides a statewide inventory of Vermont trails compiled for the 2025 Vermont Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP). It brings together trail information from available GIS sources into a single public trail layer for planning, reference, and outdoor recreation analysis. This layer does not include trail usage across all private lands, in particular VAST snowmobile trails where year-round access is limited to prevent landowner agreements and liability.</p><p><strong>Content</strong></p><p>The layer represents trail segments and associated attributes that describe trail names, trail systems, long-distance trail designations, allowable uses, surface characteristics, maintenance approach, ownership or audience context, and source and edit information.
