This program will measure the high-energy flux from TOI-2096 a nearby M dwarfhosting two small planets (1.6 and 2.1 Earth radii) near a mean-motion resonancestraddling the star.s habitable zone. TOI-2096 is active and flares frequentlymaking it an ideal test case for exploring how the increased activity of M dwarfhosts can drive atmospheric mass loss for small planets. We are currentlyconducting a ground-based campaign to measure the planet masses and bulkdensities using transit timing variations. We also require a measurement of thehigh energy flux of the host star to characterize the corresponding mass losshistories of the two planets. This system will provide an invaluable benchmarkfor population-level studies of small planets orbiting active M dwarfs. [truncated! Please see actual data for full text]
