Health Literacy and Physical Activity in Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Management

The Korea Health Panel Study (KHPS) is a nationally representative longitudinal survey designed to support evidence-based health policy development and academic research. Established in 2008 through a collaboration between the Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs (KIHASA) and the National Health Insurance Service (NHIS), the KHPS systematically gathers comprehensive longitudinal data on healthcare utilization, health behaviors, and health outcomes within the Korean population. Data collection employs a computer-assisted personal interviewing (CAPI) method, wherein trained interviewers visit households and administer surveys using computer-assisted questionnaires on laptops.
