These data describe estimates of the percent cover of marsh plants in experimental plots designed to evaluate the effect of pot size and planting density in the high marsh (2.0 - 2.1 m MLLW) for three common salt marsh species (Arthrocnemum subterminale, Frankenia salina, Limonium californicum) and planting density and elevation at mid (1.6 - 1.8 m MLLW) and high (2.0 - 2.1 m MLLW) marsh elevations for the dominant salt marsh plant species, Salicornia pacifica, at the San Dieguito Wetlands (Del Mar, California). Plantings were organized in 0.25 m2 plots along transects positioned within the appropriate marsh zone. Data collection was conducted from April 2019 to October 2019. During each survey, photo quadrats were taken for each plot and later processed within point contact methods in ImageJ.
