Soil samples were collected in July 2023 from abandoned farmland in Jingyan County (Leshan City) and Dongxing District, Neijiang City, Sichuan Province, China.Three contrasting purplish soil types were sampled: JX08 from Yunfeng Village, Jingyan County, developed from weathered Cretaceous red purple sand shale and Jurassic purple sandstone conglomerate; JY03 from Huangbojing Village, Jingyan County, derived from calcareous purple shale and gravel, DX06 from Gaoliang Town, Dongxing District, Neijiang City, formed from calcareous purple mudstone and shale
