Escherichia coli strain:P24_WM1_05.20 | isolate:P24_WM1_05.20 Genome sequencing

We noted that blaNDM-5 was the predominant allele among NDM positive isolates of Escherichia coli received by our laboratory during 2019 to mid-2021, despite isolates coming from many different hospital groups and representing 11 different sequence types. In addition, more than one third of these also carried rmtB, conferring high level resistance to aminoglycosides. This study set out to investigate the plasmids carrying blaNDM-5 among these isolates to see how similar they were and how they compared with those described by others.
