Formation of pseudoislets (hereafter called K20-PI) from clonal pancreatic beta-cells MIN6-K20, which are incretin unresponsive under monolayer culture (hereafter called K20-MC), drastically induced incretin responsiveness. We investigated the mechanism by which incretin responsiveness is induced from incretin unresponsiveness in beta-cells using K20-PI as a model.
