Influence of age on the knowledge of climate change and the information contained on energy efficiency labels in the City of Buenos Aires (Argentina), February 2021.

<b>ABSTRACT</b>Climate change (hereinafter, CC) is a result of human activity, as has been demonstrated for decades. Additionally, it is known that this change has greatly accelerated in the recent years. In this short paper, we will analyse the use of energy efficiency labels (hereinafter, EELs) in Commune 13 of the City of Buenos Aires, as an efficient and effective mechanism for mitigating climate change. We will also examine how ethical or responsible consumers make decisions about purchasing products with greater energy efficiency in their daily lives, and how these decisions contribute to the mitigation of global climate change. For this purpose, we will briefly analyze the socio-historical context in which the aforementioned consumers operate. Further, we will investigate how EELs are used to purchase more energy-efficient appliances. Additionally, we will discuss some results of a survey conducted among consumers of the aforementioned commune in February 2021. We will conclude with a few brief conclusions and recommendations regarding the topic investigated.<br><br>
