The major part of this volume is the specification for the 'Contract for the Construction of a Cantilever Bridge or an Arch bridge across Sydney Harbour from Dawes Point to Milson's Point ' which is preceded by a copy of The Sydney Harbour Bridge Act, 1922 (Act No.28, 1922) . Tenders were invited to be received by 30 November 1923. This specification superseded that issued in 1921, calling for tenders for a cantilever bridge only.
