Transcriptome profiling of recently released high oleate peanut (Arachis hypogeae) from Gujarat (India) upon Aspergillus flavus infection

Arahis hypogaea, commonly known as peanuts, has seen a significant advancement with the recent release of high oleate varieties, such as Girnar-4 and Girnar-5. These varieties are specifically bred to contain elevated levels of oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat associated with various health benefits. However, the threat of Aspergillus infection looms large over peanut cultivation, as it can lead to the production of aflatoxins, highly toxic compounds harmful to human health.
