NASA tracks approximately 15,000 near-Earth objects (NEOs) — small Solar System bodies whose orbits bring them within 1.3 astronomical units (AU, 130% of the average Earth-Sun distance) of the Sun. Of these 15,000 near-Earth objects, 160 are comets. This dataset provides orbital data for these comets. The data can be used to plot the orbits of comets, as well as to predict their close approaches to Earth by combining with Earth’s orbital data.
