Paenibacillus polymyxa has been extensively studied for agricultural applications as a plant-growth-promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) and is also an important biocontrol agent. Our team has developed the P. polymyxa strain ZF129 from the potato rhizosphere soil. Strain ZF129 has significant inhibitory effect on Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium solani, Phytophthora capsica and so on.
