资源简介:
This study used a parallel mixed-method design. The sample included CHCs within the OCHIN practice-based research network14 that were using the same electronic health record (EHR) as of January 1, 2018, and had records of preventive care visits. Data from 217 CHCs connected to 79 CHC systems in 13 states (AK, CA, GA, IN, MA, MN, MT, NC, OH, OR, TX, WA, and WI) were included. Of these CHC health systems, 23 (29%) were located in 4 states (CA, GA, MT, and WI) that did not implement orders to temporarily cease or postpone elective surgeries or procedures during portions of the pandemic, which impacted some preventive services. We purposively selected 13 CHC systems to participate in qualitative data collection. We worked with health system leaders to identify one clinic site per system to participate in interviews. We sent an email to the medical director of each participating clinic, explaining the study and asking this person to identify a list of members of their clinic, which could include themselves, with knowledge about cancer preventive care delivery and operational changes made during the pandemic. From the list, we selected and invited clinic members with a wide variation of roles (eg, medical director, clinician, quality director, or lead) to participate. At the end of the interview, we asked the participant to identify others in the clinic knowledgeable about this topic, if more participants were needed. We interviewed 1–4 people from each clinic; this number varied based on clinic size and organizational structure.
