Alleviating the declined ovarian function in aged female mice after fecal microbiota transplant from young donor mice

In our study, old female mice at 42 weeks of age were first treated with antibiotics and underwent fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) from young (5-week-old) mice three times each week for 8 weeks. At the end of the treatment, we collected feces from young donor mice, FMT mice, and non-FMT mice. To evaluate the changes of gut microbiota among three groups, we performed 16S rRNA sequencing for them.
