A Familial Phenotype Dataset in an Indian Population

The dataset contains 250 parent–offspring triplets from an Indian population, organized in a tabular format for family-based analysis of human phenotypic traits. Each record includes phenotypes for an adult participant and their biological mother and father. Five observable traits are recorded for each family member: ABO blood group, Rh factor, widow’s peak, facial dimples, and facial freckles, along with the participant’s age and sex. The dataset comprises 17 variables in total, combining categorical, binary, and numeric fields. Missing values are explicitly encoded, and no imputation has been applied. The data are suitable for pedigree-level studies of inheritance patterns and testing computational models of trait transmission.
