PADD1 crude oil and petroleum outflow in the US 1985-2021

The volume of crude oil and petroleum moved by pipeline, tanker, barge and rail from PADD 1 (East Coast) reached 206.5 million barrels in 2021. This was an increase of 2.1 percent from the previous year. In the period of consideration, volume of crude oil and petroleum moved by pipeline, tanker, barge, and rail from PADD 1 peaked at 215 million barrels in 2018. Pipelines are the main mode of transportation for PADD 1.
