Dominican Republic (2008): MAP Study Evaluating the Availability of Condoms in Bateyes. Second Round.

The Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) methodology was used to draw a random sample of 19 bateyes, in which condom availability was assessed, and all condom outlets per community were fully audited on the availability of Pante and other condom brands, both commercial and unbranded generic condoms, and on a number of quality and distribution measures. Coverage and quality of coverage rates were calculated as the percentage of bateyes in which relevant availability and quality standards, respectively, were met, using the LQAS decision rule table to determine estimated coverage levels.
