Employing CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, the WHITE gene residing on the X chromosome of Drosophila melanogaster was successfully deleted. Subsequently, the genomere sequencing of the Drosophila was subjected to assess the influence of cas9 gene editing on the genomic stability of the organism.
