Homoploid hybrid speciation of the East Asia endemic herb genus Notopterygium: Evidences from population genomics and ecological niche analysis

To test our novel hypothesis of hybridization in Notopterygium, we here use Specific-Locus Amplified Fragment Sequencing (SLAF-seq) to obtain a data set of nuclear single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) which, through an Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC), is used to explicitly test whether N. forrestii and N. oviforme originated by independent homoploid hybridization events.
