In this study, we sequenced and analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of Pseudorhombus levisquamis. The mitogenome is 16604 bp in length and consist of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, and two ribosomal RNA genes. The content and order of genes are identical to typical fishes. Phylogenetic analysis based on 13 protein-coding genes revealed that P. levisquamis is most closely related to Pseudorhombus dupliciocellatus. The complete mt-genome may provide insight into phylogenetic studies of Paralichthyids.
