Genome assembly of C. sativa cultivar Abacus V2 (Csat_AbacusV2, CsaAba2) was conducted in order to provide a high quality reference genome for cannabis research. PacBio Sequel long read sequence data (83x coverage) from 30-40kb high molecular weight DNA were assembled using Falcon and Falcon-unzip and then polished using 234x Illumina 2x250bp short reads. Hi-C data were then used to order and orient contigs into 10 pseudomolecules.
