资源简介:
IceCube, the South Pole neutrino observatory, is a cubic-kilometer particle detector made of Antarctic ice and located near the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. It is buried beneath the surface, extending to a depth of about 2,500 meters. A surface array, IceTop, and a denser inner subdetector, DeepCore, significantly enhance the capabilities of the observatory, making it a multipurpose facility. IceCube was primarily designed to observe neutrinos from the most violent astrophysical sources in our universe. IceCube is committed to the goal of releasing data to the scientific community. A list of the available data sets is maintained at http://icecube.wisc.edu/science/data/ along with a basic description of the data set characteristics and formats.
