This data set contains low frequency (10-250 Hz), continuously sampled
acoustic data. The set consists of data from 7 instruments (ARPs)
with maximum of approximtely 28 GB per instrument. ARPs were deployed
in March and April 2001 and data was recovered in February 2003. They
were deployed on the shelf and off the shelf break west of the
Antarctic Peninsula as part of Southern Ocean GLOBEC (Global Ocean
Ecosystem Dynamics). The original deployment locations are also
inside the Palmer LTER (Long-Term Ecological Research) grid on 100,
200, 300, 400, 500, 600, and 900 lines.
The raw data is saved in approximately 14-day, 1.1 GB bin files. Data
from 5 sites are complete with continuous recordings, while data from
2 sites are partial.
