资源简介:
Storm Data is the name of a digital data set and a publication available from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). The digital data set is DSI-3910. Storm Data covers the United States of America. Publication data began in 1959, but preliminary data is available back to 1950. The data set begins in 1996. They both contain a chronological listing, by state, of hurricanes, tornadoes, thunderstorms, hail, floods, drought conditions, lightning, high winds, snow, temperature extremes and other weather phenomena. The reports are provided by the National Weather Service (NWS) and contain statistics on personal injuries and damage estimates. The publication is produced by the NCDC and is available through the NOAA National Data Center (NNDC) Online Store. Preliminary storm data is available at no charge. You may also search the NCDC Storm Event database to find various types of storms recorded in your county, or use other selection criteria as desired.
