资源简介:
The exceptional longevity of queens in social insects, and how they manage to sustain lifelong high fecundity, remains a poorly understood topic in the biology of ageing. We examined gene expression between young and old queens and workers across different lineages of social insect (termites, bees, and ants). These data are derived from workers of the ant Temnothorax rugatulus (brain and fat body tissue).
